Fiber Characterization is the evaluation of installed fiber against a specified requirement. This evaluation of the fibers performance against actual values received during commissioning & acceptance tests are useful for ongoing network analysis and trends. Additionally, this helps to ensure optimum performance of the fiber for current and future use.
Our experienced fiber installation team has the ability to install fiber in a broad range of applications and environments. Our technicians are certified for underground, confined spaces, aerial, and everything in-between.
To complement our installation team, our fusion splicing team has the capability to splice or terminate fiber anywhere it can be installed. Our capabilities range from simple indoor, in-room splicing at a hotel to climbing in manholes to mass fusion splice single or ribbon cables.
Equally as important as the ability to efficiently splice fiber, is the ability accurately test and document those results. Using an EXFO OTDR we trace every fiber we splice. This allows us to verify splice loss, measure length, find faults, and ultimately create a picture of the overall performance of that fiber.
Our experienced fiber technicians have a deep understanding of fiber optic networks. Equipped with the appropriate tools, in addition to our knowledge, we are able to troubleshoot, identify, and provide a solution for any issue we encounter.
